Steam Trap is a special type of valve used in steam systems to help optimize the heat exchange process of the steam system. Every type of Steam Trap has 3 important functions which are

  1. Open to vent Condensate 
  2. Open to ventilate air and non-condensing gas
  3. Close to prevent steam leakage.
