What is Profile Radiographic Test

Profile RT – U Tubes of Heat Exchanger;

For example, Profile RT (Digital) of the U Tubes ( -Heat Exchanger, ), which can be viewed Profile thickness Tube and Profile of Corrosion happens inside Tube

Profile RT – Vent Nozzle of Acid Storage Vessel;

Example of Profile RT (Digital) of Vent nozzle of Sulfuric acid storage vessel which can see profile of nozzle thickness and profile of corrosion occurring within the nozzle .

Profile RT – Socket Weld Gap;

For Socket Weld of Piping, ASME Standard will require Gap , approximately 1.5 mm. This can be checked by the Profile RT (Digital) which made Profile RT can also be used to view a Profile of the thickness of the pipes, In. Service is also possible

Profile RT for CUI Inspection ;
Today share a Case Study, using Profile RT for monitoring Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) by shooting rays through Insulation occupies Pipe Fitting , which is expected to be water and causing CUI up Case we reviewed. The result was as shown in the picture

For Erosion RT @ Profile User , Inspection o A the n the Socket the Weld the Elbow ;
Today, I would like to share a Case that uses Profile RT to check Erosion at Socket Weld Elbow. In general, we can’t verify using Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) .

This line is a pipe connected to the steam trap, which is at risk of erosion due to the condensate that comes out of the steam trap.It is a turbulence and may be two-phase , including the location of the elbow. It is very close to the Steam Trap outlet . In this case , we emitted rays through the insulation in the Elbow area . We found the Eroded Area in the area where the collision occurred .

Thickness Monitoring on Sulfuric Storage Tank – Vent Nozzle ;

Leave a guess about the thickness monitoring of the Sulfuric acid storage tank with the Computed Profile Radiography (CRT) of the Vent nozzle, which is another point in the tank that may cause severe corrosion due to the Vent nozzle having air in. And the acid vapor evaporates all the time
